Rossimon is a partnership built upon a great friendship and trust between two families. In addition to the initial partnership of Morgan and Jones, other select trusted enthusiasts have joined the fold over the years, this enables our dogs to have a good personal home life with plenty of one to one love and care. Even when viewed collectively, we have bred very few litters as KC records will show.
We are very proud of the achievements our dogs make. They have made history with
RECORD BREAKING FIRSTS for Akitas in the UK,
and the ultimate UK Award of BEST OF BREED at CRUFTS
We have used them as Demonstration dogs in Schools, where we teach 'responsible dog ownership' to the next generation of dog owners.
In June of 2004 we discovered the notable writer and Akita lover Barbara Bouyet had selected one of our dog’s head studies to adorn the front cover of her excellent 2002 book "Treasure of Japan II". Renowned artist Jenny Kennish; took photographs at random whilst at some Championship Shows in the UK and did Kato the great honour of painting him so true to life that we recognized him from a one centimetre sized image on the internet. Along with our own close knit family consisting of our son Geri, our daughter Lindsey, our permanent foster son Kieran who is 11 and our granddaughter's Miha who is 3 years old and Casey who is 4 months old, we ensure our dogs are lavished with all the love and attention they deserve. The same can be said of our Partners; Mike and Jackie Jones with their three children Simon, Ross and Nia. From this you can safely conclude that a good temperament in the breed has always been of vital importance for us all!
Our Dog’s welfare, has always been our priority they are our - PRICELESS—IRREPLACEABLE—FAMILY MEMBERS, the older they get, the deeper they leave their pawprints in our souls!
We hope the text and pictures on our site give you a feeling of knowing a little more about this wonderful Breed, each of our Akitas and us too. Should you ever feel the need to quench your thirst for the real thing, you are welcome to come visit, our door is open to anyone with a genuine love for Akitas! We are certainly not afraid to admit we are still learning (unlike the instant experts we have met along the road), we aim to assist others wherever possible in the care taking of this wonderful breed by sharing information. Our dogs and the wonderful friends we have made through them teach us something new each day.
Our aim is to insure that all Akitas are afforded the respect and care we feel is their birthright. We have no respect for the breeders who use and abuse our Breed to swell bank balances by concentrating on quantity, all this does is encourage their buyers; Joe Public to follow suit, and that is the downfall of any breed! Our only wish is that you open your heart and mind as well as your eyes, when viewing our site, these are people dogs, they crave your companionship as their only reward for total devotion.
